Description

General Summary:

This position contributes to the success of the Pepsi Beverages Company by ensuring the overall quality of ingredients and finished products in accordance with PBC Standards to uphold trademark integrity. The QC Supervisor is responsible for managing approximately 4 nonunion employees and is required to work evening shift.

Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:


- Provides technical and process knowledge for water treatment/waste water, product batching, product testing, package testing and supplier capability

- Maintains Good Manufacturing Practices with regards to micro/sanitation, and pest control chemicals

- Demonstrates a working knowledge of production equipment (processing and packaging equipment) and its' related impact on overall quality

- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of process improvements and technical developments

- Understands and trains others in product characteristics, attributes and Quality Control testing procedures

- Responds to and proactively reduces consumer complaints

- Utilizes sound judgment in customer and consumer issues and possible crisis management

- Sets frontline performance standards providing coaching and feedback to build capability

Qualifications

Basic Job Qualifications:


- A minimum of 3 years prior experience in Quality Control required; preferably in a high speed manufacturing environment

- Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends

Preferred Job Qualifications:


- Bachelors degree

General Summary:

This position contributes to the success of the Pepsi Beverages Company by leading transportation activities in an effective, efficient manner consistent with USDOT and Pepsi Beverages Company requirements.

This person is a regional transportation manager in charge of Transportation Supervisors/Managers, and a pool of company drivers operating from multiple locations. The successful candidate will also lead an organization responsible for managing truck load (TL) inter-company shipments.

Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Accountable for delivering annual operating plan and cost savings objectives

Directly responsible for maintaining an efficient cost advantaged company transport fleet

Directly responsible for on-time delivery performance for company transport fleet

Manages region's relationship with our 3PL provider

Interfaces with Business Unit Supply Managers to evaluate alternative supply networks that optimize cost and service objectives while considering changes in business and customer profiles; provides transportation expertise to these initiatives

Develop effective relationships with internal customers (i.e. sales, logistics, plant, satellite warehouses etc.)

Provide interface and direction for dedicated carriers on issues and improvement projects

Ensures that fleet capital investments yield a favorable return; manages appropriate spare ratios and asset disposal

Effectively present information and respond to questions from senior executives, employees, and carriers

Provide coaching and guidance to department managers and supervisors in the performance of duties and functions for their respective responsibilities

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and outside correspondence

Developed interpersonal skills

Qualifications

Basic Job Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree


- Minimum of 6 years of prior transportation experience within a supervisory capacity

Preferred Job Qualifications:


- Previous i2 or other Transportation Management System (TMS) software experience

- Strong understanding of DOT rules and regulations
