Minimum Position
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, preferred.


• Previous sales leadership experience (1-3 years min)


• DSL-D's participate in an extended training program andwill be required tocover a sales route, loading product, delivery and stocking in various customer venues.


• May have to drive one or more of the following: passenger vehicle, 18 step van, 22 step van or 24 box truck.


• DSL-D position requires the ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, and work in all weather conditions.


• Must be able to see (depth perception, near acuity and far acuity), hear, lift 15-40 pounds frequently. Must pass a drug screen, background check, and have a clear driving record for the past three (3) years. Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and/or certificationwill also be required.

• Wal-Mart Field Retail Sales Manager directly calls on the Division/Region/Market Managers / Food Merchandisers (35-45) Points of contact) in assigned Wal-Mart Regions.


• Responsible for developing programming and activities that will ensure all strategies and tactics are aligned with their geographic area.


• Work with Direct Retail Team field teams to implement the decisions made by the corresponding Division/Region and Market Managers for Wal-Mart.


• Ensure alignment and execution of all national Wal-Mart plans.


• Ensure timely and ongoing communications. This deliverable will be achieved with scheduled formal interactions with the Division/Region and Market personnel for their respective Wal-Mart territories. Additionally, this person will be responsible for the following:


• Introduce "breakthrough thinking" in leveraging the Division/Region and Market managers at Wal-Mart


• Develop joint strategies/tactics that leverage the "Power of One" (i.e., Pepsi/Frito/QTG in-store presence)


• Identify barriers to in-store execution and develop plans with the NAM's and DRT field to eliminate those barriers


• Develop and execute a business plan through each Division/Region and Market Manager that improves QTG overall execution and business


• Initiate and execute market tours with the Customer Managers for Wal-Mart and internal area teams


• Establish strong relationships through hosting Wal-Mart/QTG team meetings in the field and headquarters


• Organize and present ideas persuasively across Wal-Mart operations to improve our productivity


• Lead in the flawless execution of all Wal-Mart initiatives


• Responsible for capturing, communicating and leveraging "best practices" throughout both organizations


• Territory will include Alabama, Georgia and Florida

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required


• Minimum of 5 years of combined sales, management and key account experience


• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills


• Excellent planning and organizational skills


• Ability to mentor Direct Retail Team to interact and sell to Wal-Mart stores, along with the ability to penetrate high levels of decision makers in both Wal-Mart and QTG (Quaker/Tropicana/Gatorade) organizations


• Must be willing and able to travel 20-50% of the time

• Support regional cost objectives through strong business partnering and analytical insight


• Drive labor productivity agenda


• Lead planning and forecasting responsibility for Go To Market (GTM) cost functions


• Function as strategic partner to Sr. Director - Sales Support, and other key members of the region team

Key Accountabilities

• Provide period/QBP forecasts for functional cost centers


• Collaborate with HQ Supply Chain Finance on planning/forecasting processes


• Track labor productivity and provide insights on performance, and partner with functional managers to address opportunities


• Support delivery of region's productivity initiatives


• Provide leadership and support to achieve region discretionary spending and waste reductions


• Conduct variance analysis and location level support during the period close process


• Build financial and process literacy across 50+ locations

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Finance or Accounting


• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience


• 5+ years of combined Accounting/Finance/Financial Systems experience


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment


• Customer service oriented attitude and demonstrated leadership capability


• Advanced use of MS Office Suite


• Strong analytical and communication skills


• Strong team player and ability to successfully work in a matrix structure
