Senior Manager M&A Job

Description
As a senior member of a group of highly skilled corporate development and strategy executives, the Senior Manager, Corporate Development will a key member of this M & A team in the pursuit of innovative strategic alliances throughout the world for based global deals. Specific responsibilities include:Accelerating innovation and pro-activity in creating acquisition opportunities and strategic alliances for new products, platforms and information technology initiatives, that will drive top line growth;Screening, analysis and development of strong business cases for synergistic alliance opportunities with existing PepsiCo businesses;Working with PepsiCo divisions_ business leaders, senior corporate executives and strategy team to identify top line synergies through potential corporate development opportunities;Directing the execution of strategic alliances including, but not limited to, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and minority positions with management contracts;Completing strategic alliances under approximately $XXXmm through internal efforts, and working with investment bankers on larger deals;Managing a group of _execution_ oriented individuals on key projects in the transaction phase of strategic alliance negotiations;Collaborating with Strategy people in a related corporate functional area on the identification and analysis of potential alliance opportunities;Developing a keener understanding of operational issues to improve perspective with regard to which alliances have the greatest chance for success;Working in tandem, when appropriate, with similarly centralized PepsiCo M&A groups in London and Hong Kong; Traveling to divisions and/or potential acquisitions as required.
Requirements:
Candidates for the position should have substantive background in corporate development and transaction execution, preferably working with middle market to large transactions of substantial magnitude and detail. Specific qualifications include:MBA preferred. Undergraduate degree required.Minimum of 5-7 years transaction and execution experience preferably from a large investment bank. Consumer products/media/retail/ Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry coverage preferred. Experience working within the corporate development group or M&A group of a corporation is also attractive. Consulting experience from a Corporate finance practice is also viable if candidate also has transaction experience.Experience managing all facets of a _deal_ including superior and in--depth screening and analysis of potential opportunities for _strategic fit,_ due diligence, negotiation and execution;Substantial background working with senior management teams in formulating strategies to successfully complete strategic alliances;Food and/or beverage experience, as well as related consumer products background is preferred, but company will consider exceptional candidates with relevant skill sets from other industries;Prior experience working in management consulting, with concentration on growth strategies that included substantial strategic alliance development, would also be helpful;International experience (Europe and Latin / South America highly preferred) to develop multi-continent alliance strategies, and work successfully with Hong Kong and London offices; ability to relocate in the future would be helpful but is not required;Broad-based thinker with _intellectual curiosity_ who takes strategic approach and has creative insight and ability, to develop new ideas beyond already analyzed options;Excellent financial skills with upward mobility to help company build its bench and potentially become a senior finance executive in the future.
